second Life : location 5 ( The pot healers adventure )

second Life : location 4 ( Virtual travel to mexico )

The view from here is nice. It shows the open sea.

I love looking at the sea from the sea itself. The water seems fresh and nice.

I actually saw a marine animal inside the water which got me really amazed because the game could actually produce animals in such a way.

second Life : location 3 ( kowloon )

When I stepped into Kowloon, the ambience changed. It went from a game to this somewhat spiritual sounding temple. I was mesmerized with the different sounds coming from my speakers.

I didn’t really understand this place but the signboard really took my attention.

I liked this place because it had all the small screens as though we were looking into something else. The reality made us believe that it was something real.

The sound that came out from this place was fine. Not really my type of music I would say but it was fine. The ambience of the place was really like in Chinatown.

second Life : location 2 ( Straylight )

The background looks real as though as if it wasn’t even in a game. Really breath taking.

The writing on the walls of the tree is so nice. Sadly I couldn’t go into the cave.

I took this picture because of the colorful trees. It shows like as though if it was summer or spring.

second Life : location 1 ( SS Galaxy Cruise Ship )

Yesterday, I played the game that was asked by our lecturer. The name of the game is “Second Life”. The game is interesting as it allows us to roam freely inside the made up atmosphere. With this game, we can go see things widely without any limitations. You are not restricted to any rules or boundaries. If you feel like going somewhere, all you do is click and it will take you there. The scenes were made almost perfectly the same so it feels like you yourself is at the place without even leaving your seat.

like looking at the setup of the place. It is super awesome.

I like looking into the horizon. The view is amazing. I also like the design of the lamp. Its so interesting and real. Brings me back in time.

I love looking at the water. It makes me feel like jumping in. The slide makes it even better. Reminds me of the luxury cruises I’ve been on.

So, for anyone interested in the activities, came to Sunway Lagoon because I dare to guarantee that you will not regret. The game provided great fun and entertaining. Suitable for all ages. Admission price is very reasonable for what is given.

The tallest building in the world.

Burj Khalifa

Many countries in the world are busy to built the world's tallest building, the latest, United Arab Emirates has created a new record if successfully built the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa known as Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 828 m (2,717 ft). Construction began on 21 September 2004, with the exterior of the structure completed on 1 October 2009. The building officially opened on 4 January 2010, and is part of the new 2 km2 (490-acre) flagship development called Downtown Dubai at the 'First Interchange' along Sheikh Zayed Road, near Dubai's main business district.

The tower's architecture and engineering were performed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill of Chicago, with Adrian Smith (now at his own firm) as chief architect, and Bill Baker as chief structural engineer. The primary contractor was Samsung C&T of South Korea. In June 2010, Burj Khalifa was the recipient of the 2010 Best Tall Building Middle East & Africa award by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.

The total cost for the project was about US$1.5 billion; and for the entire "Downtown Dubai" development, US$20 billion. In March 2009, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, chairman of the project's developer, Emaar Properties, said office space pricing at Burj Khalifa reached US$4,000 per sq ft (over US$43,000 per m2) and the Armani Residences, also in Burj Khalifa, sold for US$3,500 per sq ft (over US$37,500 per m2).

The project's completion coincided with the global financial crisis of 2007–2010, and with vast overbuilding in the country, led to high vacancies and foreclosures. With Dubai mired in debt from its huge ambitions, the government was forced to seek multi-billion dollar bailouts from its oil-rich neighbor Abu Dhabi. Subsequently, in a surprise move at its opening ceremony, the tower was renamed Burj Khalifa, said to honor the UAE President, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his crucial support.

I think countries like United Arab Emirates built the Burj Khalifa building is to improve their economy. Although from my view I consider this building is only spending money to build it. But they believe that the building will provide good investment for their countries from various aspects. Such as tourism sector, thousands of Tourists have lined up to buy tickets for viewing times often days in advance that cost more than $ 27 each - or $ 110 for a Queue-jump pass( source from al jazeera.net ).Although the profit gain in its immediate future is not absurd, but for a long time, building the highest tower actually bring increased economic and lifestyle of the people of that country.
